NetworkTuna 1.0.4 Beta makes it easier to see who your PC talks to. Realtime now names the domains behind connections and shows the latest connections for each app, your computer, and your network zones, so unusual activity is quicker to investigate.

Install this release over 1.0.3. Your rules and settings are kept. The installers are digitally signed by DeinitLabs.

New features

  • Realtime now shows the domain name of a connection instead of only its IP address. Hover over a connection to see the exact address and every known name.
  • NetworkTuna collects domain names as Windows looks them up, not only from the Windows DNS cache, so more connections get a name.
  • Details for an app, your computer, or a network zone show incoming and outgoing speed and the latest connections. Select a connection to open its details.
  • Your computer and each network zone offer Show connections, a list of every app's connections in one place.
  • Apps without their own icon now get a clear generic icon instead of a letter tile.

Fixes

  • Some Windows services were shown as ordinary apps. NetworkTuna now recognizes them as services and shows their service names.
  • Overview panels now always list current warnings and alerts, even when a panel has more than six rows.
  • Blocked activity details show a program icon even when NetworkTuna could not match the program to an app.
  • On Realtime, Back now returns to the app list after you close a connection's details.
  • Short windows no longer show an extra scrollbar, and the Statistics breakdown stays readable.
  • App icons no longer flicker when you open app details.
